Ready to photograph the region first captured by the Impressionist masters Monet, Renoir and Pissaro?  Then join us for this special opportunity to experience the exceptional landscapes, architecture and food of Normandy, France.  Created for participants who know the fundamentals of photography and enjoy traveling, this workshop includes photo excursions and historical tours of the beautiful, northwestern French countryside of Normandy.

Led by Steven Silverstein, a fashion photography pro who lived in Paris for 20 years and photographed throughout the region - with additional input from his wife, Gina, who as a rep handled clients Travel & Leisure and Bon Appetit - participants have the opportunity to create pictures worthy of any travel magazine or photo gallery.  Technical guidance on metering, composition and exposure is included upon request.  And participants who are interested will receive day-to-day evaluation, suggestions and editing assistance.

Several excursions will be provided by a local travel photographer and native to the region for an "insider's point of view."  Tour the region's natural wonders, landscapes, farms, ancient ruins, townships and the sea.  Discover Mont Saint-Michel, a Benedictine monastery of medieval architecture that took 1000 years to complete and is surrounded by water at night.  Visit Saint-Malo, a walled city on an island in Brittany, formerly inhabited by French pirates and privateers.  Capture Gothic architecture such as the Cathedral in Rouen or Belle Epoche villas in Bagnoles de l'Orne.

Photograph food in the area with the highest concentration of sea food restaurants in all of Europe or at the lush orchards and dairy farms of Pays d' Auge where the world-famous Camembert cheese and Norman apple ciders originate. Create mouth-watering photographs of Brittany's renowned crepes and white Muscadet wine.  Turning to more recent historic events, visit Omaha Beach, ground zero for D-day in World War II where German bunkers still exist, and the "Caen Memorial for Peace" to learn about the events leading up to D-day and its aftermath.
