TELL US WHAT YOU HAVE AND CONDITION BASED ON THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRY STANDARD GUIDELINES

  • L – "Like New" 97-99% of NEW. Includes original box and instruction manual.
  • E - "Excellent" 90-96% of original condition. Exceptionally nice. May have slight wear on finish but visible only under close inspection. Glass very clean with no marks or haze.
  • G – "Good" 80-89% of original condition. Shows moderate wear for the age of the item. May have small dents and/or dings and slight finish wear. Glass may have slight marks, anomalies and/or blemishes that will not affect picture quality.
  • B – "Bargain" 70-79% of original condition. Shows more than average wear for the age of the item. May have dents, dings and/or finish loss. Glass may have marks, anomalies and/or blemishes that should not affect picture quality.
  • U – "Ugly" Very rough looking. Multiple impressions, dings or scratches, excessive finish loss on metal. Glass will have marks, fungus and/or haze which will affect picture quality.

*NOTE: Used digital cameras with excessive shutter exposers may reduce value.

All Quotes are provisional based on condition as chosen by seller using guidelines listed above. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response to the Quote request. The Upon acceptance of the Quote, once the items have been received, inspected, and evaluated, we will issue an “Offer” to the email address associated with the quote request.

For in-store selling or trade:

Please print your Quote and bring it with you. We will inspect the condition of the items and give you an Offer. At this time, you may apply toward an upgrade, request a store credit for future use, or receive a check on the spot. The seller’s driver’s license or other government photo ID is required for all buys or trades.

For out of area buys or trades:

Minimum value of quotes eligible to receive a free shipping label is $50.00. Upon acceptance of Quote, Houston Camera Exchange will provide the Seller a FREE, prepaid Fedex shipping label. (To make the process even easier, FedEx now accepts drop offs at thousands of Walgreens and Dollar General locations in the USA.) Seller is responsible for ensuring the items are not damaged while in transit to Houston Camera Exchange. Please package your equipment securely using ample padding and/or bubble wrap.

IMPORTANT: Please include a printed copy of your quote marking out any items you choose not to include in the shipment.

Upon receipt of your shipment, Houston Camera Exchange will inspect the items and issue a formal Offer based on our evaluation to the email address provided with the submission. The value of the Offer associated with the items to be purchased will be valid for 14 days (the “Offer Period”). If you, the seller accepts the Offer, you may apply it toward an upgrade, request a store credit for future use, or receive a check. Houston Camera Exchange will send you payment via check of agreed Offer amount to the address associated with the offer. For faster funding, payment may also be issued via PayPal to the email address associated with the Offer. If you reject the Offer during the Offer Period, Houston Camera Exchange will return the items to you at the address associated with the Offer.

If no response to the Offer is received within the 14 day Offer Period, Houston Camera Exchange will consider the offer accepted and issue payment for the value of the Offer in form of a check to the address associated with the Offer. If the Offer price is below $25, we will send you a Houston Camera Exchange store gift card which will be considered final payment for the items.
